FROM WHERE TO STUDY?? and WHAT TO STUDY??
Now coming towards “BOOKS”, when you prepare for UPSC IAS exam you need to study lots of
NCERT books.You need to learn all the text books from class 6 to class 12.There are 6 to 7 subjects which mean you will have to mug up 38 to 40 books.
Following are the
NCERT textbooks you need to focus on below subjects:
- Science
- History
- Geography
- Economics
- Political science
- Fine arts
Learning all these subjects will not take more than 6 months, hardly it will take two to three (2 to 3) months if you study these with full concentration and focus.If not with much focus and concentration it will take too much of time may be 4-6 months (four to six months).
HOW TO STUDY??
Thinking about
HOW TO STUDY?? is the question that makes all of us very nervous.But it is not that hard if you know the trick.In this article, I will let you know about the method that will help you to prepare for your exam.
Following are the methods:
Method 1:
Reading books subject wise:
- Take any subject of class 6 that you would like to start from. for eg- science.
- After completing that particular subject, Move to next class i.e class 7 and continue reading same subject(science).
- Similarly, continue doing this by moving to next class and continuing with the same subject that you chose in the starting.
- Continue reading the book of the same subject next until you reach to class 12.
- Start the above process with another subject in the same way.
Method 2:
Reading books class wise:
- Starting from class 6 read all the NCERT books.
- Afer completing that move to the next class i.e class 7 and read all the books of that class
- Continue reading the book of preceding class until you reach to class 12.
- Start the above process in the same way.
It is up to you which method you choose to prepare for your exam.
But choosing the method 1 is going to help you a lot as Learning same subject without creating gap will consume less time and will help you to understand and remember the terms you studied more easily.But Sometimes it may happen that, If you study the same book continuously you may get bored and lose your momentum to avoid these take any other subject also and after completing any topic make a note for it.
On other hand learning by the second method will consume more time as it will create a gap between particular subject, leading a confusion.
HOW TO REMEMBER ??
This question can be solved by making notes.
By writing down the main topic and then writing the sub-topics.Inside the sub-topics write only the important word or sentence related to it(subtopic), that you could remember easily.This will help you to remember the terms quickly when you will go through the whole syllabus.
